I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan with my husband David and my two cats. Pegasus is the fat one and Other Kitty is the little one. She's a street rescue and still hasn't gotten over the excitement of hearing her food bowl filled.
I'm native to Michigan, and I spent endless hours as a child playing on the pristine beaches of Lake Michigan, exploring the vast expanse of my grandparents farm, and riding my bike with the neighborhood kids. It was the 80's and life was sweet. I carry the mental pictures of those days inside me, and everywhere I've been and everything I've seen unknowingly finds its way into the expression of my photography.
I have an intense love for all things nostalgic, an old barn, a vintage watering can, or a pair of retro roller skates. I guess you could say that my artistic style blends these elements with current trends in fashion, resulting in commercial looking photographs for the every day person.
In addition to client work, I also create and sell digital designs for photographers at Swiss Miss Design Haus and I teach photography workshops here in Grand Rapids.
